FERN LORE:  Polystichum setiferum has been in cultivation for a long time.  Hundreds of cultivars have been described.  

CULTIVATION:   Very easy to grow, though uncurling fronds are extremely intolerant of drying out.  I find it difficult in summer to keep the plant wet enough to keep crosiers from stunting at the tips, even when watering every day.  I hope that a larger pot with more organic material will help this.
